Project Description

The research area deals with the design and development of methods/algorithms and IT applications to support the operations of unmanned or remotely guided vehicles in air, sea and land environments.

In the field of unmanned aircraft, the main lines of research concern methods and tools for mission planning and air traffic management as well as the design and development of flight simulators. In the marine field, on the other hand, research focuses on algorithms for autonomous navigation (obstacle avoidance) and advanced perception methods using AI. Finally, in the field of terrestrial robotics, research activities have focused on communication technologies for UGVs applied in agricultural applications.
